Why the change?

inHome Media Solutions started more than 15 years ago, when much of my work centred around home cinema, multi-room audio and larger AV installations.

Over time, the technology in our homes and the help people need with it has changed.

Today, I’m increasingly helping homeowners solve everyday technology problems: unreliable Wi-Fi, poor network coverage, garden office connectivity, TV installation, audio setup and existing systems that simply aren’t working as they should.

inHome Tech better reflects that broader, more practical service while keeping the same experience and personal approach behind the business.

15+ Years of Home Technology Experience

The name may have changed, but the experience behind the business hasn’t.

For more than 15 years I’ve worked with home technology across Manchester and Cheshire, from home cinema, multi-room audio and integrated AV systems through to today’s home networks, Wi-Fi, TVs and connected devices.

That experience means I’m equally comfortable installing something new or getting to the bottom of an existing system that isn’t working properly.

You’ll still deal directly with me from the first conversation through to the work in your home – just as you always have.

What happens next?

Getting help with your home technology doesn’t need to be complicated.

Tell Me What You Need

Get in touch with a brief description of the problem, project or technology you’d like help with. Photos can often be useful too.

I’ll Recommend the Best Approach

I’ll explain the options and recommend a practical solution based on your home, existing equipment and what you’re trying to achieve — without selling you technology you don’t need.

Arrange a Convenient Visit

Once we’ve agreed what’s required, we’ll arrange a suitable time for the work. For larger or more complex projects, I can visit first to assess the existing setup.

Installed, Tested & Ready to Use

I’ll complete the work, configure and test everything properly, and make sure you’re happy with how it works before I leave.

Or feel free to explore my services.

Frequently Asked Questions

inHome Tech is based in Sale and provides home technology services across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, including Altrincham, Hale, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Lymm, Worsley and surrounding areas.

If you’re unsure whether I cover your location, just get in touch.

Yes. In many homes the broadband connection itself isn’t the problem, it’s how the Wi-Fi is distributed around the property.

I can assess your existing setup and recommend the most appropriate solution, which could involve repositioning or reconfiguring existing equipment, installing wired access points, adding network cabling or using a professionally installed mesh Wi-Fi system.

Where suitable network cabling is available, wired access points will often provide the best performance and reliability because each access point has a direct connection back to the network.

Mesh Wi-Fi can be an excellent alternative where cabling isn’t practical. If wired connections are available, some mesh systems can also use them as a wired backhaul for improved performance.

The right option depends on the property and existing infrastructure rather than one solution always being better.

Yes. Depending on the property, a garden office can be connected using Ethernet or fibre cabling, a dedicated wireless point-to-point link, or in some situations a suitable Wi-Fi or mesh solution.

I’ll recommend the most appropriate method based on the distance, cable routes and how the connection will be used.

Yes. I can supply a suitable TV wall bracket or install a customer-supplied bracket where appropriate.

TV installation can also include cable management, soundbar mounting and connection and setup of equipment such as Sky, streaming devices and other existing AV equipment.

Yes. Not every job needs to involve installing something new.

I can troubleshoot and review existing home networks, Wi-Fi, TVs, Sonos and other home technology, whether something has stopped working correctly or you simply want to understand your options for improving or simplifying the system.

Expertise You Can Trust

Hi, I’m Jamie.

I’ve spent more than 15 years working with technology in people’s homes, from home cinema and integrated AV systems to modern home networks, Wi-Fi, TVs and audio.

inHome Tech is deliberately personal. When you get in touch, you’re speaking directly to me and I’m the person who’ll assess the problem, recommend the solution and carry out the work in your home.

That means straightforward advice, no call centres and no different engineers turning up who don’t know the history of your system.

Whether you need help fixing unreliable Wi-Fi, connecting a garden office, installing a new TV or making sense of an existing home technology system, the aim is simple: get it working properly and make it easy to use.

Jamie is a star. We found him through Google when we wanted a new TV, but he also sorted our Wi-Fi and explained everything clearly without the jargon. Highly recommended.
