How We Work Together

These terms outline how I work and what you can expect when engaging inHome Tech Consulting. They’re designed to be clear, fair, and aligned with the way I deliver remote support and project oversight — with professionalism, transparency, and respect for your time and trust

inHome Tech Consulting (a trading division of inHome Media Solutions Ltd) provides remote technology consulting and project oversight. Jamie Street (“the Consultant”) offers expert advice based on over 15 years of industry experience. Please note: we do not provide physical installation or hardware repairs as part of the remote service.

Consultation Fees: Payment is required in full at the time of booking via our online calendar.
Additional Time: Sessions that exceed 60 minutes will be billed in 30- or 60-minute increments at the rates published on our website.
Project Oversight: Fixed-scope projects require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon completion of agreed milestones.

We understand that plans can change.

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: You may reschedule or cancel for a full refund.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 50% cancellation fee to cover the reserved time.
  • No-shows: If you are not present within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will be considered a no-show and the fee will be non-refundable.

To ensure a productive session, clients agree to:

  • Be present and have access to the relevant equipment during the session
  • Provide accurate information about their equipment and issues
  • Ensure a stable internet connection for the video call (where possible)

Advice is provided based on the information you share. While we aim for complete resolution:

  • Pre-existing Issues: We are not responsible for existing hardware faults or any data loss that may occur during troubleshooting. We recommend backing up important data before making changes.
  • Guidance Only: All recommendations are advisory. Final decisions regarding purchases or infrastructure changes remain the client’s responsibility.
  • Third-Party Work: We are not liable for the actions or outcomes of third-party contractors (e.g. electricians, builders), even when we provide oversight.

Your privacy is important to us. We never request passwords or sensitive login credentials. Personal data (such as your name, email address, and booking information) is used solely to manage your appointment and deliver the service.
